What sets AMSA apart from a general chatbot

Why AMSA is different

Grounded in Moroccan practice

Built from local-governance needs raised in Morocco, on trusted legal sources, and designed with elected women and civil society.

Made for people AI tools overlook

Written for elected women, associations, young people, persons with disabilities, rural communities and people with limited literacy.

Clear about its limits

Answers point to their sources, prompt you to check them, and send you to a lawyer or an official when a question needs one.

General AI tools do not know how Moroccan communes are run

A council chamber of 100 seats, with 27 filled in.

Women won about 27% of commune council seats in the 2021 elections. Elected women are rarely the first audience for AI training.

With AMSA-AI:

AI training rarely reaches councillors outside technical teams and big cities.

Workshops and support built on council work: preparing sessions, petitions, reading the budget.

General tools often answer on quorum or budget transfers without reference to Organic Law 113.14, and they are weak in Darija.

Answers drawn from the organic laws and official texts, in Arabic, Darija and French.

In a session, an answer with no reference is no use.

Each answer names the text it relies on, and says so when it finds no reference.

What AMSA does

AMSA draws on Moroccan legal and local-governance texts. It was designed with the elected women and associations who use it, and it tells you when a question needs a lawyer or an official.

AMSA provides civic and procedural guidance based on trusted sources, with clear escalation rules for cases requiring legal or institutional verification.

Understand procedures

Simplify local governance procedures, advisory bodies, petitions, and council preparation.

Prepare communication

Draft civic messages, questions for meetings, advocacy notes, and accessible explanations - and ask follow-up questions that build on the previous answer, since the assistant keeps the conversation's context.

Use AI safely

Privacy, source verification, and the limits of AI answers - the assistant declines questions outside local-governance scope and asks which council level you mean when it's ambiguous, instead of guessing.

Know when to escalate

Identify when to seek human expertise or institutional support - and distinguish sensitive cases that require legal verification or expert consultation.
